To help reduce the spread of contagious conditions within households, pharmacists can also provide assessment and treatment options.
Advice on detection, treatment selection, application techniques, environmental management, and prevention of reinfestation. Treatment may include dimethacone lotion and a head lice comb. Treatment may be provided for all family members.
Assessment and treatment of uncomplicated scabies, including advice for household contacts and measures to prevent recurrence. Treatment may include a lotion for the treatment of scabies. This may be prescribed to all family members.
Women under 30 years of age can access the Emergency Contraceptive Pill (ECP, often known as "Plan B") free of charge.

Women aged 16–75 years can access pharmacist assessment and treatment for uncomplicated urinary tract infections.

Eligible women can access funded oral contraceptive supplies directly from our accredited pharmacists, without needing to see a GP for every repeat supply.
Our pharmacists provide a private consultation and clinical assessment to determine whether pharmacist supply is appropriate. Pharmacists can continue the same oral contraceptive previously prescribed by your GP, provided you have had a GP consultation for your oral contraceptive within the past three years and meet the eligibility criteria.

Women aged 18 years and over who hold a Community Services Card may be eligible for funded treatment for acute uncomplicated vaginal thrush.
Our pharmacists provide a private consultation to assess your symptoms, confirm whether pharmacist treatment is appropriate and discuss the most suitable treatment option. Where your symptoms require further assessment or medical attention, we can refer you to your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional.

Our pharmacists can assess and provide treatment or management advice for several common childhood conditions.
Assessment and treatment recommendations for children experiencing pain or fever associated with minor illnesses or infections. This may include advice on appropriate use of paracetamol or ibuprofen, dosing guidance, and monitoring for symptoms that require referral. Treatment provided may include paracetamol and/or ibuprofen liquid. A syringe for dosing will also be subsidised. The consultation may be with the caregiver.
Assessment and management of mild dehydration resulting from illnesses such as gastroenteritis.Our pharmacists can provide oral rehydration products, hydration advice, and guidance on recognising signs that require further medical attention. Treatment may include oral rehydration solution or sachets. The consultation may be with the caregiver.
Our pharmacists can assess uncomplicated conjunctivitis and provide appropriate treatment and self-care advice where suitable, while identifying cases that require referral to a doctor or specialist. Treatment may include antibiotic eye drops or ointment. This service is available for 2 years older and up. However our specially qualified pharmacists can offer treatment to under 2 year olds. Note that a child under 2 must be present for this consultation for clinical evaluation.
Mild bacterial skin infections can be assessed and treated by our pharmacists through the Extended Pharmacy Services (EPS).
Our pharmacists can assess conditions such as minor infected wounds and school sores (impetigo) and, where appropriate, provide fully funded topical antibacterial treatment.
Our pharmacist will also provide advice on wound care, hygiene and preventing the infection from spreading. If further medical assessment or treatment is required, we can recommend referral to a GP.
Children under 14 years with fungal skin infections, such as ringworm, athlete's foot or jock itch, can access assessment and treatment from our pharmacists.
Our pharmacists can assess the infection, provide funded antifungal treatment where appropriate, and offer advice on hygiene, treatment and preventing the infection from spreading to others.
If the infection is severe, persistent or requires further medical assessment, we may recommend seeing a GP.
Children under 14 years can access assessment and fully funded treatment for mild dermatitis through our accredited pharmacists.
Our pharmacists will assess the rash, help identify possible triggers and provide personalised advice on managing the condition and maintaining healthy skin. Where appropriate, they can provide fully funded topical steroid and moisturiser treatments to help manage mild eczema or dermatitis.
If the rash is severe, unusual or requires further medical assessment, we may recommend referral to a GP.
If your child is under 14 years and experiencing symptoms of oral thrush, our pharmacists can provide an assessment and advice.
Our pharmacist will assess your child's symptoms and, where appropriate, provide suitable funded treatment. If the symptoms are not suitable for pharmacist treatment or further assessment is required, we can recommend referral to a GP or other healthcare professional.

Prescription charges are separate from consultation fees unless otherwise specified.

Children under 14 years generally do not pay prescription charges.
People aged 14–65 years who hold a Community Services Card generally do not pay prescription charges.
There is no prescription charge for medicines supplied under the Emergency Contraception service.
